Communications service providers (CSPs) are increasingly in direct competition with ICT service providers (ICTSPs). This is no surprise, as the worlds of IT and communications services are increasingly overlapping. Traditional suppliers of different service types are therefore encroaching on each other’s territory. This study seeks to point out the opportunities and challenges for CSPs competing in a larger market where the lines are blurring between service providers.
Research Methodology: 280 interviews were carried out with senior decision-makers in the IT departments of enterprise organizations from a range of industry sectors across the US, UK, France, Germany and Italy. Interviews were conducted online using a rigorous multi-level screening process to ensure that only suitable candidates were given the opportunity to participate.
