United Concordia automates Coordination of Benefits (COB) claims exception processing with Pega

Approximately 11% of UCD’s 10 million annual claims required COB processing however, the work was too complex and took too long to execute requiring specialized staff. UCD implemented Pega’s automation platform and was able to achieve: increased speed of processing by 34%, reduction of resources required to process by 27%, and reduction of training time by 75%.
