The Position:
The Consulting Manager is responsible for overall practice management within an assigned domain. This individual is responsible for driving customer success and market leadership to Pega, partners and clients, with the goal of improving the successful design and implementation of PRPC projects. He or she should have a strong focus on staff development to ensure a high-performing workforce.
 
In this role, you will:

  • Foster direct reports’ and teams’ technical, domain, leadership, and business skill development via coaching, mentoring, and effective use of Pega tools (such as PA.COM, GPS)
  • Identify top talent and support their development via coaching, mentoring, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
  • Participate in the Recruiting process as required; work with the RDD and Recruiting to identify and hire candidates for their Domain or functional area
  • Identify and escalate performance concerns via coaching and performance management
  • Ensure staff is up to date on trends and updates in the performance domain, e.g. via trainings, knowledge transfer, and certification achievement
  • Partner with RDD and HR to drive various corporate HR initiatives (e.g. talent planning, employee surveys, equity grants, CICP, etc.)
  • Liaise with Learning & Development to identify nominations for various training offerings; proactively educate Career Coaches to incorporate L&D into employee development
  • Work with Staffing Managers to ensure certification goals are met
  • Ensure that employees are aware of career growth opportunities

The Person:
This is an opportunity for a consulting minded individual that will provide technical leadership to a client-facing team that is focused on ensuring that system architectures are functional, robust and scalable within the context of a customer enterprise.
 
Qualifications will include:

  • BS Degree with 12-15 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 9-12 years of experience
  • Completion of training and certification in Pega - Senior System Architect (CSSA)
  • 5+ years of PRPC Pega software experience

Specific functional role expertise:

  • Ability to define and articulate JEE topologies and relate them to Pega
  • Ability to decipher complex infrastructure issues as they relate to Pega
  • Ability to diagnose complex performance problems using the Pega and the wider JEE toolset
  • Experience with complex load tests in client environments
  • Deep knowledge of JEE and Zero Tier Architectures
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS and No SQL databases
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and business resources, including senior level executives internally and externally
  • People management experience preferred
  • CLSA or equivalent experience preferred
