Quality Assurance Engineer – Industry Applications Development

Meet Our Team:

In this position you will join our brand-new team which is a part of Pegasystems’ Industry Applications Development. Your team focuses on the Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Know Your Customer (KYC) Pega strategic applications, which are currently the fastest growing industry at Pega. We are responsible for the quality (both technical and functional) of our applications, as well as for being a point of contact for our Top Tier Financial Institution Customers.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer in our team you will be responsible for developing cutting edge, large scale, enterprise applications leveraging the Pega Infinity platform. You will be driving overall solution quality, requirements fulfilment and customer success.

What You’ll Do at Pega:

  • Participate in sprint grooming, test planning, product reviews and other ad hoc meetings,
  • Be responsible for converting requirements into Test Design, Test Cases and Test Execution for the product new features,
  • Create and execute test plans and provide feedback on the overall quality of the application,
  • Perform manual and automated test execution for new product features with complete test coverage,
  • Work collaboratively with the SCRUM team to drive quality of the application through all phases of the project,
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to implement automation tests within defined framework to provide broader test coverage and automated regression testing of applications,
  • Use tools within automation framework to analyze performance of applications under test,
  • Identify technologies and trends to improve testing practices, especially in the areas of automated testing and mobile technologies.

Who You Are:

You are an experienced technical professional with a strong commitment to customer success without compromising quality. You see yourself as a problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative team environment who wants to focus on building, maintaining, and supporting next-generation CRM applications. You also have:

  • Experience with manual and automated software testing,
  • Basic web development skills and software development skills,
  • Basic knowledge of SQL,
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed scenarios and test cases,
  • Ability to perform reliable test execution and report results,
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis to determine root cause of software defects,
  • Strong understanding of test strategy and methodology, including Test Design, Test Planning, Test Case Authoring, Execution and reporting skills.

It would be an asset if you have:

  • Knowledge of industry domain and frameworks,
  • Previous experience in Onboarding, CDD, EDD, Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) or KYC (Know Your Customer) implementations or projects,
  • Familiarity with the various technical landscapes of multi-channel business architectures, including CRM/CLM, web, mobile, legacy and 3rd party software systems and the key linkages between them,
  • Knowledge of mobile browsers and testing on mobile devices,
  • Experience with working in Agile and Scrum methodologies.

What You’ve Accomplished:

  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related field,
  • 2+ years Software Quality Assurance Testing Experience – both manual and automated testing,
  • ISTQB foundation level certification.
